Capacity
We can host between 25 to 175 guests. The floorplan design is what will determine final capacity, and we customize our floorplan for each event based on your needs.
Our 60” round tables will hold between 6-8 people, and we can place up to 20 (60” round) tables, plus a head table seating up to 26. (All floorplans accommodate dance floor, buffet and bar).
Our preferred guest count for comfort and flexibility is between 100 -150.
NOTE: We follow all COVID restrictions in place by the governor, which may change
Ceremony Details
It is a wonderful thing to be able to keep the ceremony and reception in the same place! There are so many advantages to not splitting up the day for both you and your guests!

At Cottontail we have a wonderful location inside our venue to host your ceremony! No matter the guest count (25 or 175) we have got you covered (literally). When your ceremony is hosted with us, Cottontail Staff will manage all the chair set up, as well as the full transition from ceremony to reception - so you and your family do not need to do a thing!
Setup and Décor
Set up for your ceremony and reception can begin as early as 10:00am.
We will have all of your ceremony chairs arranged, as well as your reception tables set up with cloth and ready for décor. You can get straight to setting up for the evening.
If you wish to use our in house décor then the selections that you have made prior to arriving will be ready for you! As well as the ceremony arch of your choice.
Don’t worry, guest will not be able to see the decorated tables thanks to the beautiful white curtains we will pull to block them from sight.
Rockensock Weddings
The Transition
Since everything takes place inside of Cottontail there needs to be a transition from ceremony to reception. To facilitate the transfer we will escort all of your guests right next door to Ballad Brewing for a fun and relaxed ‘cocktail’ hour. While guests are enjoying Ballad’s hospitality Cottontail staff will be busy rearranging the room to get ready for the reception.
This is also a great time for Bridal Party, Family and couples photos at the Alter!
The cocktail hour (transition time) is usually 1 full hour.
Getting Ready!
Our bridal changing room is a great place for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready the morning of the wedding. Custom designed full wall mirrors and counter provide space for all of your preparations, and makes for beautiful photos.
You can choose to do your own hair/makeup - or bring in a professional of your choice. The venue is yours’s from 10:00am until the start of your wedding. We also have several salons right down the street if you prefer to get ready offsite.
Although we don’t have a dedicated area for the gentlemen they are welcome to hang out at Ballad up to two hours before the wedding time. It is always our recommendation that they arrive to the venue dressed.
Parking
Public parking is available all around Cottontail. Within a 6 min or less walk are hundreds of free, public parking spaces - as well as available street parking. These spaces allow for overnight parking - so if guests cannot drive, or choose to take a shuttle then they are welcome to leave their vehicle until the following day.
The majority of visitors and guest park in the Community Market parking lot - directly across the street from Cottontail.

Being downtown means that we are close to just about everything - and hotels are no exception. As Danville continues to grow and improve we continue to get more unique and exciting lodging options.

Relatively new to Danville, we are now seeing more Air BnB properties in the downtown River District. Keep checking back to see what new pops up, but this is a wonderful option for families.
